Camphor Bowl
This is a bowl I made from a camphor log I received for free! I have only been turning for a couple months and this is the 2nd bowl that I have made. I finished it with 3 coats if polyurethane.

Cherry and Walnut heart shaped box
I shaped the outside and bottom, once I got it close I took it off the lathe and cut out the heart on the band saw, remounted it on the lathe and finished up the top and hollowed it out,.

Ornament
This is another way to do an inside out ornament. Drilling through the block before turning. This is out of Poplar you can get at Loews. I have done many of these. Each with a different item inside. One I did for my mother in law. She loves Hershey’s Kisses so I turned a wooden Kiss and wrapped it in a Hershey’s wrapper and hung it on a very thin silver piece of thread. Another was done for my best friends son that just had a child. His had a small plush teddy bear in the middle for Baby’s First Christmas.

Ciborium
This is a Ciborium that I turned for my favorite Episcopal priest. It is made of two beautifully grained pieces of cherry that I got from Choice Woods online. I finished it with Mahoney’s Utility finish and then Beall buffed it.
