Was given a maple burl recently, was challenging to turn. Had a good deal of grit inside the wood, interesting to see the sparks off the band saw blade however not great to maintain a good edge on my chisels. Next project will be a natural edged bowl.

Christmas Ornament

Maple ornament ball, with finial. (no clue what the finial is made of, but it makes great finials). I made a bunch of these before Christmas for gifts. Got the idea from you youtube video. After a few I was able to get the ball pretty thin. Thanks.
