Cedar Turning
This Cedar vase/bowl came from a downed tree from Cades Cove, in Tennessee, It is from Dan Lawson’s Place over 160 years old, when I say the tree down, my first thought was to take a piece to turn, to give back to the Park to preserve a small part of history. Offset winged box
I turned this piece as a personal challenge and entered it in my local clubs monthly competition where I came first in the experienced section. Really fun piece to turn. Boxwood box with elm lid.

Won a trophy for this one. Was fun to make. Not to sure what kind of wood but it was beautifully spalted….
