Woodturning – A Natural Edge Lidded Box

In this video I demonstrate how to make a natural edge lidded box turned on the lathe. This was my first time making a box like this. I used Maple burl for the body and lid. The final is African Blackwood, the box is 5 1/4″ tall and 5″ in diameter.

In this video I turning piece of Sissoo crotch wood in to a serving platter. This piece started off as a bowl, but because the heart wood didn’t go deep enough to make a bowl.

Woodturning – Maple Burl Pepper Mill With A CA Finish

In this video I turned a piece of Maple burl for this pump grind pepper mill kit from Wood River. I finished it with 15 coats of CA glue. This is a great turning project for beginners.
