Christmas Trees

Hi Carl,
For starters I love your videos, they are very informative. I just got my lathe in August. I love it. Now I can say I own every tool you need for a shop. I have made around 25 snowmen and selling them to our craft store. The kids paint them for presents for parents. I also been making the key chains of the Christmas tree, bulbs and snowmen. Here is a pic that I modified from your Christmas trees. Let me know If you like.

Purple-hatted snowman

Turned this snowman from basswood and a scrap of purpleheart then used a pyro pen to put in the dots and glues in a loop of wire to hang him by. Every snowman deserves a purple hat!

Candlestick

Again, I used pine, but not over the candlestick. I damaged the turning machine.

Padauk Ornament

The body of this ornament is made of Padauk and the finials are African Blackwood. I have been in been in ornament mode lately. My wife plans on giving them for Christmas gifts. I still have quite a few to go but that gives me a chance to try different materials and designs.

Jumbo Ornament

This is a big ornament that i did for a friend of mine… i must make a C. Drozda base like so he can have it hanging… the wood is olive wood and the urchin shell is approx 3 to 3,5 inches wide… the finish is again superglue.
