The man the myth the legend Mr Heath Knuckles! Heath used stabilized Maple Burl and Alumilite resin to make this awesome hybrid blank. I made a few of these rock shaped boxes awhile back out of solid wood. The box is 5″ long 3 1/2″ wide and 3″ tall.

Woodturning – Wooden Beer Stein

We took the mobile shop to Leavenworth Wa, and filmed this weeks project. I thought a beer stein was only fitting for this trip. Leavenworth is a Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains, in central Washington State. I found a great spot on the Wenatchee River to film making the cup part of the stein. Then we headed south to the Columbia river gorge to make the handle. My buddy Jamie from England gave me this scroll saw, so I thought this replica of Stonehenge (World War 1 Memorial) would be a great place to film this part.

Woodturning – TIE Fighter Christmas Ornament

This is a pretty easy project that only takes a few hours. I turned the body on the lathe, and cut the wings on the band saw. I used Walnut for both Tie fighters on one I painted gilding cream on the wings. They’re 3 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ and I finished them off with Howard wax.

Woodturning – Turned and Carved Maple Vase

In this video Robin and I turned this vase one the lathe. Robin shaped the outside and I hollowed it out and carved the top to look like water.

Woodturning – Turned 22″ Elm Bowl / Awesome CNC Sign

▶ Check out my gear on Kit: https://kit.com/CarlJacobson

In this video I did a second turn on a 22″ Elm bowl I started a few months ago at the Woodcraft demo in Seattle WA. The bowl is still a little wet so I packed it back in the shavings to dry.

I also finished a sign my buddy Jake made for me. Jake used a CNC to make this awesome sign for my shop. I burnt it with a Lichtenberg burner and Robin painted it.
