Woodturning – Wooden Beer Stein

We took the mobile shop to Leavenworth Wa, and filmed this weeks project. I thought a beer stein was only fitting for this trip. Leavenworth is a Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains, in central Washington State. I found a great spot on the Wenatchee River to film making the cup part of the stein. Then we headed south to the Columbia river gorge to make the handle. My buddy Jamie from England gave me this scroll saw, so I thought this replica of Stonehenge (World War 1 Memorial) would be a great place to film this part.

Woodturning – TIE Fighter Christmas Ornament

This is a pretty easy project that only takes a few hours. I turned the body on the lathe, and cut the wings on the band saw. I used Walnut for both Tie fighters on one I painted gilding cream on the wings. They’re 3 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ and I finished them off with Howard wax.
