Sassafras Heart Bowl
First of all I have only been turning since the end of November 2012. A friend of mine gave me two 6 foot logs of Sassafras heart, was cut down several years ago, all that was/is left is the heart and all of the sap wood had rotted away. This is the largest bowl I have ever made. It is finished right now with brushing lacquer cut 50/50 with lacquer thinner. I’m going to sand it down again and try to get a better finish on it. Please feel free to give me feedback.

Two more walnut magic wands

This is my third and fourth turning ever, and this time I started with the plan to make magic wands of a specific length and a specific look to them. You can read more details in the blog post (also linked from the description of the youtube video).
