Sea Urchin Mushroom

Went to the local shell store to pick up a few sea biscuit shells you used for the mushrooms, also found these sea urchin shells which come in a variety of colors. Note these are very thin and fragile shells.

Also a note of thanks, I’m a newbie been tuning about a year and have learned a lot from your videos. Just moved up from a Harbor Freight bench top special to a Nova 1624, this was the first project on the new lathe.

Burl

Was given a maple burl recently, was challenging to turn. Had a good deal of grit inside the wood, interesting to see the sparks off the band saw blade however not great to maintain a good edge on my chisels. Next project will be a natural edged bowl.
