Lighthouse night light

Carl

I liked the lighthouse you did so I went to the thrift store and got a nice old glass insulator and went to work. I put a cap/finial on mine and then lighted it with a led light strip I got from RadioShack and a 12v power supply. Thanks for the inspiration and the idea. I copied a lighthouse in North Carolina.

Tealight candle holder

I’m new to turning and have been inspired by video’s from people like yourself who give up their time to teach others and share their knowledge. This is my first attempt at some off center turning from a piece of mahogany. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and even put some chatter detail where the candle sits.

Buck Eyed Burl tailed bowl

this was so simple to do but the results are really incredible. its simply a piece of buck eyed burl that I cut out onto the external shape you see on the bandsaw glued on a waste block and attached my faceplate. finished with spray lacquer. the wood was donated to my school woodshop but i took it home to turn it
