I cut a square of mdf 10.5 ins and marked a 9.5 ins and cut it ruffle with a jig-saw mounted it on a faceplate.the speed of the lathe is 2150 rpm’s and turned the side of the mdf with a gouge and i used a bowl gouge to removed the inside of the mdf.and wed sanded 60-600 grades and used the shavings from other woods (i keep all the shavings in a large box for polishing)and when it is shining i used beeswax and buffed with a rag at 3000 rpm’s.
