First cherry burl project
This is a five inch bowl made from a cherry burl that was grown in my back yard in West Ossipee, New Hampshire. I am a newbie at turning as an adult. My Grampa taught me when I was a kid (a loooong time ago!) I wish I could still talk shop with him at the kitchen table or down in his shop but watching you and some of the other turners on YouTube will have to suffice. Thank you for helping me pick up my grandfather’s craft!
