Hand Carved Texas Longhorn / Maple and Myrtlewood
In this video I carved a Texas longhorn out of Maple and Myrtlewood. I started by cutting out the horns with the bandsaw, and then shaped them with the Arbortech Turbo Plane. The horns were the easy part. This was my first time carving a skull, so lots of trial and error. I did the rough shaping with with the Turbo Plane and refined it with the Power Chisel, 80 grit sandpaper, and a air rotary tool.
