Walnut thingies

A nib pen holder, some small boxes and again spinning tops 🙂
All those things were among the first projects I did in the week after I got my lathe.
Nothing bigger than 0,8″ in diameter.
Finish is just a blend of carnauba wax and lineseed oil.

pear wood box and spinning top

Another spinning top and a small box made of pear wood.
Really small boxes are among the things I really love to do, but the hollowing part still eludes me, so I just drill them out 😉
Up to now nothing I turn is bigger than 1,5″ in diameter and I did boxes as small as 0,8″ in diameter. The one above is 1,5″.
