First finial box

July’s competition in my local club is a lidded box. This is the second ever finial I turned, first was a bit of ewe and then this purple heart one. Both finials were done with a 1″ skew.
Thanks to videos from people like you, Mike Waldt, Robbiethewoodturner, Captn’ Eddie and so many more I have learned so much and was able to turn this. Never had a lesson everything I have learned has been from videos from people like you.

Hybrid glass/wooden goblet

I had a piece of mesquite left over from camping at Sherwood Forest Rennaisance faire and a stemless wine glass bought from Ikea. I decided they should be joined together.

Green Acres Phone

Your candle stick phone reminded of a fake phone that I had someone wanting me to make similar to the one on Green Acres. It is hanging on a telephone pole just off the road on their property. It is all wood except the cord. The bells, the mouth piece and stem, and the ear piece were all turned on my Delta LA 200 then painted. The entire thing was made from pallet wood. The cord was an old computer power cord.
