Natures Little Scuptors

Hi Carl, I have only recently registered and am very impressed by your U-tube presentations. Your recent work on rock shaped boxes as well as your comments that your enjoy organic shapes has prompted me to send in my latest project.

I recent acquired a stash of wild olive (olea eutopaea subsp. africana) wood. Among this was a small log which could have been destined for the fire wood pile until I noticed the patterns made by some sort of insect under the bark and in the softer outside layers of the very hard piece of wood. These “little sculptors” worked really hard to find a way into log but succeeded only texturing the outside.

Best Regards, Herman.
